Quran Recitation Course for Children, Youth Planned in Canada
According to alhudainstitute.ca, the educational program will be held for boys aged 7 to 17 and girls aged 7 to 12 every Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. local time.
The course will be taught by Idrees Zubair and Zawar Qazi. The participants will learn the etiquettes of reciting the Quran, letter recognition and correct pronunciation, Tajweed rules and their implementation from recognizing and reading letters to reciting the Quran with Tajweed, and how to write letters and Quranic words.
Those who have fluency in the English language and personal interest to learn and understand the Quran are eligible to take the course, which will be offered in English.
Typically a student takes 2-3 years to complete one cycle of the recitation of the entire Quran with the teacher, along with gradual study of how to apply tajweed rules.
The student must successfully complete all the required assessments with a passing grade (80%), and maintain an Attendance of 90% in order to obtain a certificate.
