Egypt to Hold ‘Human Brotherhood in Islam’ Int’l Conference
According to elbalad.news, it is the third international scholarly conference of the faculty which will be organized under the supervision of Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar and a number of the university’s scholars.
Stressing the virtues of human brotherhood and its principles, investigating the challenges in achieving it, the necessity of strengthening moderation and peaceful coexistence, interfaith and inter-civilization dialogue, promoting the culture of global peace and fighting extremism and extremist discourse are among the objectives of the conference.
The participants will also discuss other themes including the development of moderate discourse and fighting religious extremism, taking joint responsibilities to realize global peace, activating the role of civil rights institutes and human rights organizations, activating the role of religious educational and media institutes to disseminate the culture of brotherhood and peace in society and monitoring extremist thoughts and dogmatic viewpoints which are dangerous for the peace in society.
