--A forum was held this week by Iran’s cultural attaché in Armenia in which the worldwide effects of Islamic revolution of Iran were discussed.
Professor Hovannisian, an Armenian scholar said at the forum that Iran’s revolution is distinct from any other in that it made use of two elements of “Imamate and Ijtihad” to achieve victory.
He said those two elements made the revolution authoritative and compatible with today’s world.
Mr. Hovannisian added that following Imamate and holding to Justice were the reasons why Iran’s revolution did not divert from its true path, unlike other revolutions and movements.
Iran’s cultural attaché in Armenia in his speech pointed out that the revival of religious identity and thought in the world is among the important cultural effects of the Islamic Revolution.
Another speaker said that one of the global effects of the revolution was the rise in inter-religions dialogue, not only between Islam and Christianity, but among all faiths.
The concept of democracy in Iran and other aspects of the evolution were also discussed in the forum.
