-- Some 10 thousand seminarians and their family members benefit from Quranic programs of the Al-Mostafa International University (Jameat-ol-Mostafa Al-Alamiya), said head of the university’s branch in Mashhad.

“The Quranic programs are held for seminarians and their families in order to enhance their skills in Quran memorization and recitation as well as understanding the concepts of the holy Quran," Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hossein Mahdavi Mehr told IQNA.

"What we seek is to extend Quranic culture and raise the awareness of seminarians and their families in this regard. There are two departments active in the field of Islamic culture, one is the educational which holds the Quranic Sciences major at B.A. and M.A. levels, and recently in PhD level," he added.

"Some aspects of the Quranic culture need to be discovered through research and comparative studies and this has made the cultural-educational deputy of Al-Mostafa University’s Mashhad branch consider extra- curriculum programs for seminarians apart from Quranic sciences and comparative interpretation studies.
