Head of Danish Assembly for International Peace regarded Muslim unity as a means for supporting the Palestinian cause.
Addressing the fifth International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, Ali Abed said, “We, Muslims, ought to deepen our relations and make the enemies realize that they will not be able to confront us.”
He said the issue of Palestine is not just about a few million refugees. “It is about human dignity. The dignity of all human beings on earth should be maintained. When we talk about the rights of Palestinians, we are talking about those who seek their basic rights.”
Mr. Abed criticized western powers for their support of the Zionist regime and said these countries seek to sow discord among Palestinians (to ensure the Zionist regime’s continued existence).
He called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to put the issue of Palestine on top of its priority list, adding that solving the Palestinian issue requires getting to the root of the problem.
Head of Danish Assembly for International Peace concluded by saying that European Muslims are united with Muslims all around the world in their support for the Palestinian cause.
The fifth International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada was held in Tehran on October 1-2.
