Hezbollah Calls for Campaign for Slamming Quran Desecration

In a statement on Monday, Hezbollah described the burning of the Holy Quran as a clear attack on Muslims, an intentional insult to Islam, aggression against God’s book, and an unforgivable act, Almanar reported.

The movement called on Swedish authorities to detect the perpetrators behind the crime and adopt necessary measures to prevent the occurrence of similar incidents.

The Danish leader of the far-right Stram Kurs party burned a copy of the Holy Book in a heavily-populated Muslim area in Sweden. Rasmus Paludan, accompanied by police, went to an open public space in southern Linkoping on Friday and placed the Muslim Holy Book down and burned it while ignoring protests from onlookers.

The Lebanese organization also asked the aggressors to read the lofty humanitarian principles in the Holy Quran which encourages dialogue and peaceful coexistence.

The heinous act has drawn condemnation from Muslim nations and communities.
