Muslim Astronaut Shares Video Islam’s Holiest Sites from Space

TEHRAN (IQNA) – UAE Astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi, in his latest update from the International Space Station (ISS) has shared a video of the two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia where thousands of Muslims from around the world are on a pilgrimage during Ramadan.

The Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque in Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia, are two of the holiest sites in Islam. Last month, it was revealed that the Kingdom is preparing to welcome over one million visitors during the month of Ramadan.

The General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Sudais said that all sites and services of both mosques are prepared for Umrah performers, worshipers and visitors during the holy month.

Sultan Al Neyadi is currently on a six-month space mission at the International Space Station (ISS) alongside other members of Crew-6 who took off to space on March 2.
