Iranian Qaris Recite Quran in Iraqi Programs Marking Gen. Soleimani Martyrdom Anniversary (+Video)

IQNA – A large number of Quran recitation circles have been organized in different cities in Iraq on the anniversary of martyrdom of Lt General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

General Soleimani, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Gurads Corps Quds Force, and al-Muhandis, the deputy head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), along with a number of their companions, were assassinated in a US drone attack on Baghdad International Airport in January 3, 2020.

The Quran recitation circles, called the “Ashrat al-Fajr al-Quraniya (Ten Quranic Dawns)”, have been organized for ten days in commemoration of the martyrs.

A total of 131 qaris, recite the Quran at 125 Quranic circles in different cities in 14 governorates of Iraq, including Basra, Najaf, Dhi Qar, Kirkuk, Baghdad, Babil and Diyala.

Mehdi Sayyahi, Ali Qassemabadi, Hossein Fardi, Hamid Reza Ahmadivafa, Habib Sedaqat and Amir Hossein Rahmati are among the Quran reciters from Iran attending the programs.
