In a resolution read out at the conclusion of the ceremony of Bira’at min-al-mushrikeen (disavowal of disbelievers) in Mecca, they also called on all countries to sever ties with Israeli and push for the expulsion of the Zionist regime from all regional and international organizations given the regime’s atrocities and crimes committed against Palestinians, especially the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
The ceremony of Bira’at min-al-mushrikeen is among the ceremonies Iranian pilgrims hold during the Hajj and includes a rally in which pilgrims chant slogans against oppressors and arrogant powers.
At the end of the ceremony, a resolution is read out and after reading of each article of the resolution, the pilgrims affirm it with a Takbeer (Allahu Akbar).
In the resolution of this year’s event, held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, the pilgrims underlined the need for efforts to strengthen Muslim unity based on the teachings of the Holy Quran.
The resolution also warned of the cultural onslaught lunched by the world’s arrogance to undermine moral values and undercut the foundations of religious beliefs, especially among the youth and families.

It stressed the need for adherence to the teachings of the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) to confront this onslaught.
Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca that every able-bodied and financially able Muslim is obliged to undertake at least once during their lifetime.
The annual pilgrimage is regarded as one of the pillars of Islam and the largest act of mass pilgrimage in the world.
It is also a demonstration of Muslims’ unity and their submission to Allah.
A total of 87,500 Iranian pilgrims have travelled to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year.
