Photos: Mashhad Hosts Calligraphy Exhibition of Female Artist
IQNA – An exhibition featuring 40 calligraphy artworks by Iranian artist Maryam Sadat Mousavi, opened at Rezvan Gallery in Mashhad in late December 2024.
Hosted by the Astan Quds Razavi Institute for Artistic Creations, the exhibition displays pieces in Nasta'liq script and other styles, with texts drawn from classical Persian poets such as Saadi, Ferdowsi, and Hafez, as well as Quranic verses and hadiths.
Mousavi, who began her calligraphy journey in 1989, holds the Master Calligrapher certification and has won multiple national awards. This marks her third solo exhibition following previous showcases in 2012 and 2018.
The exhibition runs until January 2, 2024.
