Iran Culture House, Pakistan’s Tehfeez-ul-Quran to Expand Quranic Cooperation

IQNA – In line with enhancing cultural and Quranic interactions between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan, Asghar Masoudi, the head of the Iranian Culture House in Lahore, visited the city’s Tahfiz-ul-Quran Institute.

Asghar Masoudi, the head of the Iranian Culture House in Lahore, visited the city’s Tahfiz-ul-Quran Institute in late January 2025.

 

The visit was aimed at learning about the Quranic activities of this institute and exploring opportunities for joint collaboration in promoting Quranic education, the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization reported. 

Masoudi emphasized the importance of deepening cultural and educational ties between the two countries, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran consistently supports Quranic activities and is ready to strengthen bilateral cooperation to promote the Quranic culture.

He referred to the rich Quranic capacities present in Iran and called for sharing of Quranic experiences between the two countries.

He also suggested that joint Quranic sessions, international Quran recitation competitions, and cultural-Quranic exhibitions be held.

Masoudi also announced that in the near future, distinguished Quran experts from Iran will be sent to Lahore to conduct Quran teacher training courses for Pakistani instructors and students.

These courses can play an important role in enhancing the level of Quran education in Pakistan, he stated.

During this visit, Masoudi engaged in discussions with several senior officials of the Quran memorization institute.

Topics discussed included the exchange of educational experiences, sending teachers and students, organizing joint Quranic programs, and creating new educational opportunities.

The two sides agreed to hold more meetings to plan future collaborations in detail. It was decided that in the near future, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the Pakistani Institute and Quranic centers in Iran to exchange knowledge and experiences.
