Rabat to Host Morocco Nat’l Quran Contest Finals Next Month

IQNA – The final round of Morocco’s national Quran competition will take place in the capital Rabat on March 17-20.

The competition, named Mohammed VI National Prize for Quran Memorization, Tarteel, and Recitation, is organized by Morocco’s Awqaf and Islamic affairs ministry.

The ministry said in a statement that top winners in the preliminary round, held by the Awqaf departments across the country, will compete in the finals.

Morocco has about one and a half million people who have memorized the Quran, which reflects the deep commitment and strong determination of the nation to memorize the Quran and adhere to Islamic values.

Religious and educational institutions play a significant role in strengthening these values.

The North African country is also famous for hosting Quran competitions, where memorization experts from all over the world gather.

These competitions play a significant role in showcasing Morocco’s dedication to religious and Quranic activities.

In addition to memorization, the Quran competitions are held in the fields of recitation and Tarteel, which enhances Morocco’s global standing in the Quranic arena.
