The campaign, titled Muslims for MRI, brought together over 60 mosques, as well as local businesses, charities, and individuals, in a joint effort to improve diagnostic services within the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. According to the Dewsbury Reporter, the funds will help equip the hospital with modern imaging technology aimed at reducing wait times and enhancing patient care across the region.
In recognition of the community’s contribution, NHS staff and charity representatives hosted a celebratory event at Pinderfields Hospital. Supporters of the campaign toured the new MRI suite, now operational, and viewed a commemorative plaque acknowledging their role in the project.
