Anas Al Razqi began his journey at the start of Ramadan in March, setting off on a bicycle trip that took him through 13 countries, including Austria, Germany, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He traversed varied landscapes and faced unpredictable weather, all to reach the Kingdom in time for one of Islam’s most important rites.

“This is a dream. I didn’t believe I would be in Mecca,” he told Saudi TV channel Al Ekhbariya after entering the country at the Halat Ammar border crossing near Jordan. “I feel blessed to have arrived in the Kingdom,” he added.

Speaking to the Saudi news outlet Sabq, Al Razqi said that the encouragement he received along the way played a major role in helping him stay focused. “They kept me going,” he said. “I felt I was approaching a dream I’ve cherished for years. Now, I just want to reach the closest point to the Kaaba and see it for the first time.”

Hajj, is expected to take place between June 4 and 9 this year, pending official confirmation from the moon-sighting. It is a religious obligation for all Muslims who are physically and financially capable to perform it at least once in their lifetime.
