Photos: Special Muharram Ritual by Iraqis of Najafi Origin Held in Qom
IQNA – Iraqis of Najafi origin residing in Qom held their annual “Mashgh-e Shamshir” (Sword Training) ceremony on July 6 as part of Muharram commemorations, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions.
The unique ritual, featuring participants carrying swords in a symbolic procession, drew large crowds as mourners made their way toward the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA).
