In Pictures: Taziyeh in Kashan
IQNA – A large crowd gathered in the historic town of Nushabad, near Kashan in central Iran, to witness the traditional Taziyeh performance on July 7, 2025.
The event commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the suffering of his family members following the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE.
Taziyeh is a form of religious theater that dramatizes the events of Ashura and the aftermath of the Karbala tragedy.
