In an open letter on Thursday addressed to the Lebanese nation and top three leaders, Hezbollah rejected possible negotiations between Lebanon and the Israeli regime, warning that such dialogue only serves political and strategic objectives of the occupying regime and its supporters.
Hezbollah expressed its opposition to renewed efforts aimed at dragging Lebanon into indirect talks with the Zionist entity.
“Any political negotiation with Israel,” with which Lebanon remains formally at war, “does not serve the national interest,” it added.
Hezbollah also reaffirmed its commitment to Lebanon’s national stability and unity, voicing its readiness to contribute to building a unified stance against persistent Israeli violations of last year’s ceasefire agreement with the resistance group.
The Lebanese government has strictly adhered to the truce, but Israel keeps breaching the deal by land, air, and in a bid to extract concessions from Beirut in line with its interests in the region, it noted.

The resistance movement further warned that Israel is actively working to undermine Lebanon as a whole and dismantle any capability of resistance.
“We affirm our legitimate right to resist occupation and aggression and to stand by our army and our people to protect the sovereignty of our country,” it said.
Hezbollah is exercising its right to defend itself against “an enemy that imposes war on our country, does not stop its attacks, and seeks to subjugate our state.”
Criticizing the government for its decision on “a state monopoly on arms,” the group said the move was used by the enemy to demand the disarmament of the Resistance, something not included in the ceasefire and categorically rejected by Hezbollah.

Israel launched its aggression against Lebanon in October 2023 in response to Hezbollah’s pro-Palestinian airstrikes against the occupied territories.
The regime, however, agreed to the ceasefire after failing to stop the resistance operations and cripple Hezbollah as it had sought.
Since the truce deal began on November 27, 2024, Israel has breached it hundreds of times, killing more than 300 people and wounding almost 600 others in Lebanon.
The Tel Aviv regime also keeps occupying five strategic points in southern Lebanon that provide a commanding view of the area and a superior firing position.
