IQNA – The closing ceremony of the Fourth International “Dar al-Rasul al-A‘zam” Conference took place in Karbala, Iraq, with participants calling for renewed academic studies on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

According to Al-Kafeel Network, the event concluded with the presentation of a final statement emphasizing the need to reexamine the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography using contemporary academic methods.

The two-day conference, held on November 7 and 8, 2025, was titled “The Blessed Prophetic Biography: Between Quranic Constants and the Variables of Scientific Methods.”

It was organized by the Dar al-Rasul al-A‘zam Center, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs of the Al-Abbas Shrine, in cooperation with the College of Basic Education for Women at Al-Ameed University.

Speakers and scholars highlighted the importance of conducting modern, interdisciplinary research on the Prophet’s (PBUH) life, taking into account historical context and relevance.

The final communiqué urged translating significant works by Orientalist scholars on the Prophetic biography, noting their scientific value and contribution to the field.

The statement also announced the launch of a competition for the best book on the Prophet’s (PBUH) life, aimed at encouraging scholarly engagement and fostering a competitive research environment. Support was pledged for master’s and doctoral projects focusing on Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) character and legacy.

Delegates recommended hosting regular seminars and workshops to promote collaboration among specialists and enhance the quality of prophetic studies. They also emphasized editing and publishing historical manuscripts related to the Prophet and providing support for researchers in this area.

The conference concluded by revealing the theme of its fifth edition: “The Quranic Prophetic Biography: Between Textual Authenticity and Differences in Interpretation.”

Efforts to promote cultural and literary activities inspired by the Prophet’s (PBUH) life were also encouraged, with organizers calling for broader participation across academic and cultural circles.
