In his message, Hojat-ol-Islam Imanipour congratulated the Catholic Christian leaders and followers in the world on the arrival of the New Year and the anniversary of the birth of Jesus (AS).

“I congratulate the arrival of the anniversary of the birth of the blessed Prophet Jesus (AS), the messenger of peace, friendship and justice, and the beginning of the year 2026 to the Christians of the world and all the followers of truth,” he said.

“The entire life, behavior and words of Jesus Christ (AS) are a manifestation of love, seeking justice, helping the needy and standing against oppression. Today’s humanity, by moving away from the essence of the divine word, which is the common feature of all religions, is afflicted by oppression, violence and poverty and is grappling with the wounds of war and violence,” he added.

“In today’s world, man and all his material and spiritual achievements are under threat. A threat that has been formed by the excesses of global arrogance and the heinous warmongering of the Zionist regime and is spreading without limits in all parts of the world. Of course, these threats are faced with a wave of reactions from people who follow the truth and justice who want to eliminate oppression and establish justice. The truth that they hear from their religious leaders and the justice that they are instructed to, therefore, today religious leaders can play an effective role in the world.”

Hojat-ol-Islam Imanipour stressed, “We all desperately need the transcendent teachings of religions that are based on lofty values such as seeking truth, seeking justice, loving and serving people, especially the disadvantaged; teachings that can, more than ever, pave the way for people to achieve a world full of peace, justice and freedom.”
