Participants in Kosovo Quran Circles Honored

IQNA – A ceremony was held at the Barduşit Mosque in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, to honor 80 female Quran learners who participated in Quran circles.

Female Quran learners who participated in Quran circles were honored during a ceremony at the Barduşit Mosque in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.

 

In a move that demonstrates the success of religious education programs for girls in mosques, the Barduşit Mosque in Pristina, hosted the ceremony to honor more than 80 female students enrolled in Quran circles.

The ceremony was part of the efforts of the Kosovo Islamic Women’s Administration to promote Islamic education and connect young people with the Quran.

The program was held in support of girls’ educational activities within mosques and was a spiritual platform to encourage female Quran learners to continue on the path of memorizing the Quran and move from the initial stage of education to advanced stages of recitation and memorization.

In this event, copies of the Quran were distributed among seven female Quran learners who had completed the stage of learning the Quranic letters and had begun the stage of reciting.

Also, gifts were distributed among the participants of the memorization circles and the memorizers of several parts of the Quran with the aim of strengthening the spirit of positive competition among them and cultivating balanced personalities aware of Islamic behavior.

Such programs emphasize that educational activities in Kosovo mosques are not limited to educational lessons; rather, they are comprehensive programs to create motivation and character building, and provide girls with a space to learn and progress under the supervision of an organized educational system.
