Islamic Solidarity Fund Set up in Senegal

An “Islamic Solidarity Fund” has been set up in the African country of Senegal, xalimasn website reported.
The fund was established by CCBM commercial group with the aim of collecting and allocating financial sources to the country’s Islamic schools.
Head of the group Serigne Mboup, who is a graduate of one of Senegal’s Islamci schools said the move was taken to support the country’s Islamic schools and promote religious education among the youth and teenagers.
The group will donate 50 million dollars to the fund in three stages until 2014, Mboup said, urging others to contribute to the fund.
Senegal is a country in Western Africa. Islam is the predominant religion in Senegal where nearly 90 percent of the country's population is Muslim.
