British Qari’s Beautiful Recitation of Verses from Surah An-Naml (+Video)
IQNA – A British qari’s recitation of verses from Surah An-Naml of the Holy Quran has drawn praise from social media users.
Mohammad Ayyub Asif, a former Arsenal player, recited Verses 15-16 of the Surah.
Asif is a Quran reciter from UK born in London in 1995. His father Mohammad Asif is from Pakistan and his mother is from Morocco.
He began reciting the Holy Quran at the age of 3 and in his teenage years, he started playing football. He joined Arsenal’s football academy and later made it to the main team.
He studied in Egypt at Al Azar Islamic University. He is a master of Maqamats and specializes in Hafs from Aasim and Warsh styles of recitation of the Quran.
