Fahmi Huwaidi made the remark in an address to the third “Iranian-Arab Dialogues for Cooperation and Interaction”.
Hosted by Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, the event was launched in Tehran on Sunday, with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in attendance.
Huwaidi expressed hoped that giant steps would be taken for dialogue between Iran and the Arab world and the two sides can reach common objectives.
He also said that the issue of Palestine is not a temporary issue.
Huwaidi referred to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and said the world has been different since the start of the genocidal war on October 7.
Palestinian literary and political figure Munir Shafiq was another speaker at the conference, who stressed the bonds between the Iranian and Arab nations.
He described dialogue between Iran and the Arab world as both simple and complex.
As for the war on the Gaza Strip, Shafiq referred to the ceasefire negotiations and said the Palestinian resistance proved that the West and the Zionist regime are the ones that seek the continuation of the war, which is dangerous for the whole world.
Mohammad Sewaq, an official with the Al Jazeera new network, in his speech referred to dialogue as the only path to resolving differences.
He said many differences among countries in the region are the outcome of a lack of understanding which can be tackled through dialogue.

He also said the West Asia region is a vital region in international politics and a center of civilizations and that the regional countries must have dialogue and cooperation.
Some 40 thinkers and experts from 15 Arab countries are taking part in the third “Iranian-Arab Dialogues for Cooperation and Interaction”.
The three-day event is aimed at reaching a better understanding about issues of mutual interest and concern.
The conference includes eight specialized forums on issues like Palestine, the war on Gaza, and the new world order and West Asia’s role in it.
