The contest was organized by the religious affairs department of country’s Islamic Society with the support of Qatar’s Awqaf and Islamic Affair Ministry.
A total of 44 contenders competed in four categories in this edition, namely memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) of the Quran, memorization of 5 Juzes of the Quran and recitation.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, head of the Quran Department at the Qatari Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs stressed the need for pure intention in Quranic activities.
He also told the Quran activists that the time they spend in learning and reading the Holy Book is a blessing from God.
The Qatari official also thanked representative of Bosnia Islamic Society’s Scholars Council Mansour Malkic.
Malkic, for his part, appreciated Qatar’s support for the Quranic competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He also handed out the prizes of the top winners of the competition.
