The Dar-ol-Quran of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine organized the course, according to the website of the Astan.
Hamza al-Batat, who is in charge of one of the Dar-ol-Quran’s branches, supervised the Quranic course.
It was held both virtually and in person, with over 750 boys and girls taking the course online and some 250 attending the classes in person, al-Batat said.
He noted that the participants were given an exam at the end of the classes after which 15 students scoring 100 were awarded.

He said the purpose of the course was contemplating on the verses of the Quran, enhancing understanding of the Holy Book and promotion of acting upon its teachings.
