According to a press release on November 1, those selected will be notified via SMS and email, The Straits Times reported.

Muis emphasized the importance of medical fitness for the pilgrims, as required by Saudi Hajj authorities. Selected individuals must undergo medical checks to ensure they are in good physical health to perform the religious rituals.

Upon receiving the notification, prospective pilgrims can log in to the MyHajSG portal to view their offer letters. To confirm their place, they must purchase a Hajj package from an authorized travel agent and fulfill other requirements listed on the portal by November 17.

Muis has approved 11 travel agents offering a total of 28 Hajj packages, priced between $8,970 and $26,995 for stays of up to 27 days.

The average cost of these packages is $16,178, reflecting a $2,000 increase from the previous year due to higher costs.

These packages include Masyair services, which refer to the movement of pilgrims within Saudi Arabia for the Hajj rituals, and medical services in the Holy Lands, such as those provided by the Singapore Pilgrims’ Affairs Office. However, the prices do not cover airfare, which can cost up to $3,100 for a typical economy seat. Muis also advises prospective pilgrims to purchase additional travel insurance.
