IQNA – The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman said the outgoing US administration is expected to use the time left in office to put an end to the Israeli aggressions on Gaza and Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei

Speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Esmaeil Baghaei said Biden administration will be leaving an ominous legacy with its all-out support for the Israeli regime.

It is hoped that in the time left, the outgoing US administration will prevent the warmongering (of Israel) in Gaza and Lebanon and the incoming administration will learn lessons from these events, he stated.

Baghaei added that the international community expects Washington to prevent the escalation of insecurity in the West Asia region.

In the US presidential election on November 5, Republican Donald Trump defeated Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

He will replace Joe Biden as the United States’ 47th president in January 2025.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian spokesman referred to the ongoing summit of the Arab and Muslim countries in Riyadh, noting that Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref is attending the event and it is hoped that it will help to end the Zionist regime’s genocide in Gaza.
