Oman Names Winners of 32nd Sultan Qaboos Quran Contest

IQNA – The top winners of the 32nd edition of the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition in Oman were named.

Winners of the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition in Oman were named at a press conference in Muscat on December 7, 2024.

 

The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science announced the winners in a press conference. 

The first winners in each category were announced as follows: Younis Abdullah Al Majfrifi in Level 1 for memorizing the entire Holy Quran; Ibrahim Said Al Sawafi in Level 2 for memorizing 24 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran; Mohammed Khalfan Al Ghuzaili in Level 3 for memorizing 18 consecutive parts; Maisam Ahmed Al Habsi in Level 4 for memorizing 12 consecutive parts; Jinan Yaqoub Al Shabibi in Level 5 for memorizing 6 consecutive parts; Said Salim Al Wahaibi in Level 6 for memorizing 4 consecutive parts and Wid Khalid Al Maamari in Level 7 for memorizing 2 consecutive parts.

The competition is annually organized by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.

It is aimed at encouraging Omanis to memorize the Holy Quran and pursue the guidance of its teachings, in addition to enhancing the presence of Oman in international Quranic contests.
