Yasmin Al-Khayyam (Yasmin Al-Hussary), the daughter of the late renowned Egyptian qari Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hussary, highlighted the mission of the Sheikh Al-Hussary Foundation in Egypt, stating that its primary goal is to serve the Quranic community.
In an interview with Egypt's Al-Hayat satellite channel program “Bil Khat Al-Areed (In Bold Lines),” Yasmin Al-Hussary said, “The core mission of the Sheikh Al-Hussary Foundation is to serve the Quran and its people.”
She emphasized that the foundation not only supports qaris, including women, but also hosts African groups and operates orphanages, and elder care facilities.
Al-Hussary stressed that the foundation aims to integrate with society and nurture well-rounded graduates, promoting moderation over extremism.
“We carry out many charitable projects such as building roofs for homes, digging wells, and providing dowries for orphaned brides. Additionally, we have a residence for migrant students studying in Cairo and the October district.”

Al-Hussary noted that the foundation also welcomes groups from Asian and African countries seeking Quranic certification and to learn Sheikh Al-Hussary's style of recitation.
She firmly opposed using charitable donations for promotional purposes, stating, “Charity is a trust to be used for orphans and good causes. By God’s grace, since the foundation’s establishment in the 1960s, we have never been in need of external help.”
