Founded by Sultan Abi al-Hasan Talut Damghani, this historic school stands as a testament to the Ilkhanid period (1256 to 1335 CE).
The two-story structure, resembling a mosque, features elaborate architectural details, including colorful tilework, muqarnas (ornamental vaulting), and intricate inscriptions. The use of azure blue, a signature element of Ilkhanid decoration, is prominent throughout the building.
Each of the four iwans (vaulted halls) is adorned with inscriptions in Kufic script, featuring verses from the Quran, references to the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and religious teachings.
