Photos of Russia Mosques Exhibited in Egypt

IQNA – The House of Russia in Egypt’s Alexandria organized an exhibition of photos of Russia’s historical mosque.

The exhibition featured a collection of images of old mosques in Russia, captured from various locations across the country.

It included a range of sites, from the historic minarets of Kazan to modern Islamic centers in Moscow.

The photographs showcased the beauty of Islamic architecture as well as the spiritual depth of religious traditions and the daily lives of Muslim communities in Russia.

Arseniy Matyushenko, the director of the House of Russia in Alexandria, commenting on the expo, said Russia is home to many different religions, and Islam holds an important place in the country.

He added that the Alexandria exhibition displayed the diversity of Islamic communities in Russia and emphasized the importance of cultural dialogue and the richness derived from this diversity through a blend of tradition and modernity.

 

Russia is the largest country in the world with a population of 146 million.

While most of its people are Orthodox Christians, Russia has the largest Muslim population in Europe.

Islam is the second widely practiced faith in Russia, where some 20 million Muslims live.
