Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour made the remark in a gathering of international Quran reciters and experts on Wednesday, ICRO’s website reported.
He underlined ICRO’s special focus on Quranic diplomacy.
In the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, “we are committed to expanding both the quantity and quality of Quranic activities to play a significant role in promoting Quranic thought in the contemporary world,” he stated.
“As part of a new initiative, we are working to develop Quranic programs and collaborate closely with the Mahfel TV Show, which played a unique and impactful role during the holy month of Ramadan in bringing Muslims’ hearts closer together, extending these efforts to other countries.”
Mahfel is a Quranic show produced and aired by the IRIB’s Channel 3 during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Closeness to the Quran is very different from the reading of the Holy Book, because many Islamic countries’ qaris perform good recitations, but the effectiveness and impact of our Quranic diplomacy in the world is significantly different from other countries, Hojat-ol-Islam Imanipour stated.

He went on to say that one of the honors of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the significant increase in the number of skilled Quran reciters and their brilliance at the international level.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neishabouri, head of the organization’s International Center for Quran and Propagation, also addressed the gathering.
He referred to the extent and diversity of Quranic activities of the country’s cultural diplomacy apparatus and described Quranic diplomacy as the driving force in the cultural relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
