IQNA – The annual conference of Iraq’s Hajj preachers for the 2025 pilgrimage was hosted by the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf.

The annual conference of Iraq’s Hajj preachers for the 2025 pilgrimage was hosted by the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf.

 

It was held by the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization of Iraq with the participation of more than 600 Hajj preachers and male and female guides.

A number of Islamic seminary scholars, representatives of religious authorities and officials of the Najaf Governorate attended the gathering at the shrine’s Hazrat Zahra (SA) courtyard.

In his speech, Sheikh Sami al-Masoudi, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization of Iraq, emphasized the importance of religious guidance for pilgrims, especially regarding adherence to laws, instructions, and regulations in the holy lands.

Ayatollah Sayed Jafar Hakim, a seminary scholar, also addressing the gathering, explaining that religious guidance is a collective responsibility; therefore, all preachers are obliged to work together as a unified team.

Then, seminary scholar Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Ali Bahr al-Ulum delivered a speech, in which he stressed the importance of the presence of male preachers and female missionaries during the Hajj season to guide pilgrims and convey the message and principles of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

According to Sheikh Karrar al-Khafaji, head of the religious affairs department of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine, the conference war organized with the motto of “Religiosu Guidance; A Duty and An Honor”.

The purpose of this conference was to prepare and guide those responsible for accompanying male and female pilgrims throughout the Hajj season and to provide them with the necessary religious guidance, he noted.

Al-Khafaji added that the Astan has organized a variety of programs to serve Hajj pilgrims, including specialized jurisprudence courses to explain the religious rulings needed by pilgrims before their departure to the holy lands.
