IQNA – The holy city of Medina has dozens of sites dating back to the lifetime of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The Banu Anif Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia

One of them is the Banu Anif Mosque southwest of the Quba Mosque, which is located in the Al-Usbah neighborhood, less than 500 meters from it.

This historic mosque is named after the Banu Anif tribe, a tribe that was allied with the Quba people at the time.

Some historians also refer to this mosque as “Al-Sabh” or “Al-Musabah”.

This mosque is known for its original and simple architecture. It is made of dark volcanic stones and has no roof. Its area is about 37.5 square meters.

The mosque has undergone meticulous restoration work as part of the efforts of the Medina Region Development Authority to preserve the sites related to the time of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

As one of the living symbols of the Prophe’'s (PBUH) Hijra (migration), the Banu Anif Mosque is a symbol of a human situation with a deep spiritual charge.
