Amir al-Qurra (king of Quran reciters) is annually organized by the Holy Quran Scientific Assembly affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.

The ceremony for the launch of this stage began with the recitation of the Kumal Supplication by Qari Karar Miyahi, followed by the recitation of the Ashura Supplication by Sajjad Hussein, Al-Kafeel reported.

Also, in a part of the program, a mourning ceremony on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companion was held with Sajjad Ali Abdul Amir, one of the plan’s students, reciting elegies.

Organizing Muharram mourning rituals is part of the programs in this stage of the plan, aimed at institutionalizing religious insight and strengthening Quranic identity among the younger generation.

It also includes a training workshop focusing on vocal and breathing exercises that prepares Quran reciters to start the lessons related to recitation and memorization.

The Holy Quran Scientific Assembly has prepared a comprehensive educational program for the participants. This program starts early in the morning and continues until the evening. It is implemented according to an advanced system and helps students progress at different levels.
