The Arab country’s ministry of Islamic affairs has called on mosques directors in all governorates to hold the eclipse prayer tomorrow.
The ministry noted in a circular that a total lunar eclipse is expected to occur in Kuwait on Sunday.
The prayer is in accordance with the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and it will be performed at 8 PM, it said.
The ministry confirmed that the prayer will be held in 106 mosques across Kuwait.
Eclipse prayer is performed by Muslims when there is lunar or solar eclipse.
A lunar eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when the moon moves into the Earth’s shadow, causing the moon to be darkened.
