IQNA – Egypt’s Awqaf ministry announced the production of a series of documentaries featuring the country’s mosque.

The documentary program titled “Mosques Have History”, aims to introduce the historical, architectural, and missionary features of the most important mosques in Egypt and explain the role of the Awqaf ministry in preserving and developing these mosques, El-Balad News reported.

This documentary, which will be broadcast on the Egyptian satellite network Al-Hayat, will focus on a number of Egyptian mosques that have religious and national importance and status, including the Sayyida Zainab (SA) Mosque, Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque, Sayyida Nafisa Mosque and Sayyida Fatima (SA) Mosque.

It will explain the architectural style, missionary function, and historical significance of each mosque.

This program includes images of historical mosques and interviews with a number of historians and congregational imams, which provide a scientific and documented reading of the historical and religious context of these mosques, as well as the significant events and influential figures that the mosques have witnessed.
