Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim and the officials of the radio discussed ways to strengthen Quranic cooperation between the two countries, the sawtbeirut.com website reported.
Maher Saqal, an official at the Lebanese Quran Radio, explained the history of the radio and its future prospects.
He also mentioned the development of the radio’s activities, the use of modern energy sources, and the presentation of various religious and educational programs and audio and video podcasts on this medium.
The Qatari minister presented a copy of the Quran to Maher Saqal.
He also visited the Beirut Zakat Fund, accompanied by Sheikh Abdullatif Daryan, the Grand Mufti of Lebanon.
Qatar’s Ambassador to Lebanon Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and a delegation from the Qatari Embassy were present at the visit.
During this visit, the Qatari delegation was introduced to the various departments of the Lebanese Zakat Fund and its various programs and projects.

Mohamed Ibrahim Jozo, chairman of the Fund’s Board of Trustees, emphasized that it recorded a significant growth of 44% in its resources in the first half of 2025 and has expanded its activities to 10 branches from north to south of Lebanon.
He added that the Lebanese Zakat Fund has become a social safety net for families, orphans, students, patients, and people with special needs.
