It was organized under the title “Preserving Moral Values in an Era of Global Challenges” and was attended by representatives from religious and scientific institutions in Russia and abroad, Al-Aluka website reported.
The Department of Religious Affairs of Muslims of the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic organized the event in cooperation with the Foundation for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education, as part of joint efforts to protect Islamic values in the face of modern intellectual challenges.
At the conference, more than 200 participants, including representatives of Islamic and public organizations, government agencies, and a number of Islamic Sharia experts, discussed ways to counter the destructive influences that target the moral values of societies.
The participants’ discussions also focused on strengthening the role of Islamic and educational institutions in reinforcing the concepts of justice, mercy, honesty, and caring for neighbors.

The conference emphasized the ethical pillars that represent the essence of divine messages, as well as the need to develop religious education and support academic research in the fields of Islamic thought and contemporary ethics.
The final statement of the conference also focused on expanding the study of Islamic heritage and developing the Islamic education system in Russia.
