“This aggressive act of the Zionist regime, which was carried out with the aim of establishing a foothold for this regime in Somalia and targeting the region, is within the framework of a plan to divide the countries of the region; a plan that is not limited to Somalia alone, but its clear theme is to change the Middle East,” Abdul Malik Badreddin al-Houthi said on Sunday.
“Therefore, the entire Islamic Ummah must stand against it with all its might,” he added, al-Masirah reported.
Al-Houthi emphasized that the move by the Israeli regime is fundamentally invalid and has no legal or legal value; an aggressive action carried out with hostile objectives, by a usurper entity that itself has no legitimacy, let alone one that seeks to legitimize others.
The Israeli recognition of ‘Somaliland’ by the Zionist regime as an entity separate from Somalia is part of the enemy’s plots against the Islamic Ummah and a hostile stance against Somalia and the African region, and also targets Yemen, the Red Sea, and the countries located on both sides of the Red Sea, he stated.
The aim of this action is to establish a base in Somalia to strike the region, and the Zionist plan pursues the disintegration of the countries of the region and is not limited to Somalia, al-Houthi said.
“This hostile move must face the comprehensive resistance of the Islamic Ummah.”
The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement went on to say, “We will not allow part of Somalia to become a base for the Israeli enemy and endanger the independence and security of Somalia and the region. We call on the countries of the Red Sea coast and the Arab and Islamic world to take practical measures to prevent Israel from aggression against Somalia and other Muslim and independent countries.”
He concluded by emphasizing the need for comprehensive support for the oppressed Palestinian people, because any failure to do so will give the enemy an opportunity to carry out its plots against other countries.

“If Israel’s aggressive plots are not confronted decisively, seriously and responsibly, the Zionist enemy will be a danger to all countries in the region.”
Somaliland broke away from Somalia in 1991 following a brutal civil war but has never secured recognition from any United Nations member state. The self-declared republic has established its own currency, flag and parliament, though its eastern territories remain disputed.
Somalia has demanded the Israeli regime reverse its recognition of the breakaway region of Somaliland, condemning the move as an act of “aggression that will never be tolerated”.
