Hazrat Abbas Mausoleum on Shaaban Eids

IQNA – The celebratory mood prevails at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq, on the Shaaban Eids.

A large number of pilgrims have visited the mausoleum in recent days to take part in celebrations marking the auspicious occasion.

Every year, various ceremonies are organized in different parts of the world on the birth anniversaries of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS), which respectively fall on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of the lunar Hijri month of Sha’aban (January 23, 24, and 25 this year).

Muslims also celebrate the 15th day of the month (February 4 this year) which is the birthday anniversary of the 12th infallible Imam (may God hasten his glad advent).
