According to IKNA, quoting the News Agency, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri said:

The restrictions imposed by the Israeli regime on Muslims in Al-Aqsa Mosque, initiated by Itamar Ben Guer, the regime’s minister of internal security, are an attempt to change the current status of this holy site before the start of the holy month of Ramadan, Sheikh Sabri said in a statement, Palestine Today reported.

He said these restrictions are a clear attempt to change the legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He had previously warned in a statement about the unprecedented and organized escalation of the Zionist regime’s attacks on this holy site.

Referring to the daily desecration of this holy place, Sheikh Sabri said the Israeli settlers’ raids on the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque have increased in an unprecedented manner.

“These are no longer a sporadic attacks, but are carried out daily and under the official and military support of the regime.”

He added that the occupiers have created an official cover for these raids with false religious pretexts and fake holidays in order to divert public opinion.
