Resistance against Tyrants Lesson of Ashura
--Chief of Iran’s Judiciary Ayatollah Mahmoud Shahroudi expressed hope that Moharram mourning ceremonies will be held gloriously as previous years.
According to the Judiciary’s public relations office, Ayatollah Shahroudi who was speaking at the meeting of Judiciary’s high-ranking officials noted that revolutionary movements and nations’ resistance against the arrogant and the tyrants including Hezbollah’s 33-day resistance against Israeli aggression is inspired by the school of Ashura and its historic effect.
He referred to the events going on in Iraq and condemning the US raid on Iranian Consulate in Irbil, said “Such incidents signify the bullying nature of the United States. The more such measures are taken, the more hated the United States will be by the people around the world.”
“The events in Iraq and elsewhere in the region indicate the failure of US policies. These failures stem from the fact that the US is refusing to go along with the will of the people,” Hashemi Sharoudi went on to say.
