Imam Hussein’s (AS) Martyrdom Anniversary in Seri Lanka

On the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), mourning ceremonies have been planned by Iran Cultural Center in Colombo, Seri Lanka.

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the programs are held with the presence of two Iranian clerics, including Hojat-ol-Islam Salehi, who presents speeches on the occasion every night after the evening prayers.
Quranic classes and calligraphy workshops have also been held by the Iranian center during the first decade of the month.
The Iran Cultural Center and Shia Muslim Centers in Colombo host the programs which will continue until the 10th of Muharram with participation of Iranians residing in Sri Lanka.
