Hundreds in Canada Protest to Stop Shia Genocide in Pakistan

Recent sectarian tensions in Gilgit, Pakistan prompted many weekend demonstrations by Shia community of Canada.
These protests rallies were held in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, London, Victoria, Surrey, Richmond, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Hamilton.
In Toronto a big rally was held in front of the Pakistani consulate against the target killing of the Shia community members of Pakistan and terrorist activities that includes bomb blast on the holy places and processions of the Shia community in Pakistan.
Near the Pakistani Consulate in Vancouver, outside the Art Gallery in downtown of Vancouver hundreds Shia Muslims took the streets over the weekend to protest these heinous crimes against Shia members.
Pakistanis settled in Texas, New York, Michigan, Georgia, Los Angeles and New Jersey and from other states staged a protest demonstration outside Pakistani embassy.
Allama Nafees Taqi, Allama Haneef Shah, Allama Shamshad Haider, Allama Abbas Aeliya, Allama Sarwat Zaidi, Allama Mardan Asghar and chairman of Muslim Congress of America namely Hur Shabbiri spoke there.
They said that a particular group was involved in genocide of Shia Muslims and some powerful quarters were patronizing them. They said without powerful quarters’ patronage, the terrorists couldn’t dare killing Shia Muslims. They warned that worldwide protest would be staged if the genocide was not stopped. They said that terrorists and their patrons would be exposed and would be held accountable for this heinous crime.
The demonstrators performed noon prayer at the camp of the protest. The protestors handed over memorandum of their demands to the embassy staff.
