'US Media Behind Recent Anti-Islamic Moves'
I think the main reason behind recent anti-Islamic sentiments is Western media outlets.
We ought to blame US media over recent blasphemies. US media outlets are all pro-Zionist and generally anti-Islamic. They are not only against Islam, but they also try in vain to undermine the Divine religion.
This is according to Munir Chagpar, an economic specialist, student of Islamic courses, and a member of Social Services in Canada, who in an interview with IQNA answered the following questions.

IQNA: Given the production and screening of a US-made sacrilegious movie, why are Muslim communities witnessing such desecrations against Islam and Holy Prophet (PBUH)?
Chagpar: I think in North America there are elements of extremism. There are groups of extremists who are against Islam. Unfortunately the authorities have not openly condemned and banned these groups’ activities. I also do believe that US political figures condemned the movie, but still respect these desecrations under the title of Freedom of Speech. So the question is that how can you condemn it in one hand and justify the production of the movie by advertising Freedom of Speech on the other hand? Hilary Clinton condemned the movie; but she said that in U.S there is Freedom of Speech and because of that, the Muslims should be tolerant of these insults! But their position on Holocaust is in controversy with their claims upon Freedom of Speech.Like if you want to go and have a lecture on the validity of Holocaust in a conference, they don’t call it Freedom of Speech, but Hate Speech, so they will not let you express your opinion on that.
IQNA: How has been the reaction of the Canadian toward this anti- Islamic movie?
Chagpar: We have been observing huge protests in Torento, outside the U.S consulate, and it was not organized by Muslims alone, but by a group of people who are against blasphemy.
IQNA: Do you believe this movie has been successful in undermining Islam and Muslims?
Chagpar: I believe in a short period of time, this movie might be effective in undermining Islam in the eyes of non- Muslim people, like what happened in 9/11, some came to believe that it would undermine Muslims. But statistics in North America showed that Islam has been the fastest growing religion in America as well as in Canada, even though the Media had been so much anti- Islamic, but in the long term, they get more encouraged to know more about Islam.
IQNA: Who is responsible for these blasphemies?
Chagpar: I think the reason anti- Islamic sentiments are growing is the media; the most important element in these desecrations is the U.S media which is pro-Israel, pro-Zionist, and generally anti- Islamic. They are not only against Islam, but they also ridicule Islam, and try to bring it down.

Chagpar: The first reaction should be condemning the movie, and to protest peacefully and non- violently, as we have learnt from the life of the Holy prophet. I believe that is the best way to show our anger against these anti- Islamic actions.
IQNA: The imperial powers like US believe that the popular Islamic Awakening Tide in the Middle East is not something out of their control. They are trying to hijack these Islamic uprisings. What is your view on that?
Chagpar: This is absolutely wrong. We call the US politicians opportunists, that’s why they say so. If they opposed dictatorship, they wouldn’t support a dictator in Bahrain. But we see that they are helping him. We also can see their same approach in Saudi Arabia, and also about the ex- dictator of Egypt. It depends where their interests are. They say we are supporting the people and their revolution , just to look good in front of the people. In the Middle East, their bottom line is their interests, oil and also supporting Israel. So it doesn’t matter whether there is a dictator or not . They just do whatever they have to do to make sure that the Israel security is not jeopardized, and also their interests including oil resources, because the US economy heavily depends on it.
