16 poets and artists from 8 countries will attend the 4th conference of Baran-e Qadir.
This is according to secretary of the conference Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Zaeri while speaking on Monday, October 21, at a press conference in Tehran.
He said the conference, which was first held four years ago, aims to create an atmosphere to introduce the Velayat of Imam Ali (AS) and his progeny to non-Muslims and non-Shias through arts and literary works.
Hojat-ol-Islam Zaeri added that the conference is also aimed at honoring those who have created these works.
According to the cleric, the event can also pave the way for religious dialogue between Islam and Christianity.
He noted that the theme of this year’s conference will be the character of Imam Hussein (AS) and the movement of Ashura as it is held on days close to the month of Muharram.
Habib Ilbeygi, the executive secretary of the conference also attended the Monday session and said guests from countries like Russia, Lebanon, Pakistan, India and Tajikistan will take part in the conference this year.
He said the 4th conference of Baran-e Qadir is slated to be held on November 3-6 in the cities of Tehran and Mashhad.
