TEHRAN (IQNA) – The true significance of the declaration of Al Quds Day by Imam Khomeini is that it is a forecast of the inevitable liberation of Quds.

This is according to Professor Rodney Shakespeare, a renowned political commentator and visiting professor of binary economics at Trisakti University in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Asked by IQNA to comment on Al-Quds Day, he gave his viewpoint on the issue:

Only one country, in a completely principled way, unequivocally stands up for the rights of the Palestinians. That country is Iran. And it very often stands alone because, no matter how iniquitous is the latest Israeli atrocity, the  Zionist control of the media and its secret agents in governments around the world ensure either that the truth is suppressed or that a government response is dishonestly ambivalent.

Yet, even though Israel is now determined to expand by conducting a creeping genocide of the Palestinian people, more and more people are sickened by Israeli violence and its self-righteous arrogance. Thus the Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment movement is growing and, at some point in the future, the whole world will turn against Israel.

Therefore, the true significance of the declaration of Al Quds Day by Imam Khomeini is not only that it is a moral and principled declaration, not only that is it an expression of hope but, crucially, it is a forecast of what will inevitably happen.
One day Jerusalem will be free and we thank the Imam for pointing the way”.

Shakespeare is a Cambridge MA, a qualified UK Barrister, and a well-known paper presenter and lecturer particularly at Islamic conferences dealing with money, the real economy, binary economics, and social and economic justice. A co-founder of the Global Justice Movement, he is also a member of the Christian Council for Monetary Justice.

Shakespeare is a frequent critic of Jews and Israel, claiming Israel seeks to take over the entire Middle East from "the Mediterranean to the Euphrates" as described in the notorious forgery The Protocols of Zion.
