Quran Memorization Students in Turkey Celebrate Graduation
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held in Rize city, northeast Turkey, earlier this week to celebrate graduation of 542 Quran memorization students in the region.
The Dar-ul-Ifta center of Rize Province held the event, which was attended by religious and political officials, Turk Press reported.
Addressing the event, the Mufti of the province congratulated the graduates for having learned the Quran by heart.
He also appreciated the efforts made by Quran teachers and experts who helped the students memorize the Quran.
The Quran memorizers, 400 boys and 124 girls, were awarded Umrah Hajj pilgrimage packages and tablets at the end of the ceremony.
They have
learned the Quran by heart at Quranic centers run by the Presidency of
Religious Affairs (Diyanet).
