Badshahi Mosque an Iconic Landmark in Lahore

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab, is the second largest mosque in the South Asian country.


It was commissioned by the sixth Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and built between 1671 and 1673 AD. It was the largest mosque in the world at the time of completion. The mosque is considered one of Lahore’s most iconic landmarks, and is a major tourist attraction.
